The purpose of this course is to teach each student a variety of proven training techniques, for all breeds of dogs. This course will teach you how to evaluate various temperaments and how to solve behavior problems. We focuses on all aspects of canine body language, and how dogs learn. Our goal is for your pet to learn good manners through obedience.
1. Basic pet obedience
* How a dog learns, the science behind dog training.
* Proper use of training equipment.
* How to teach basic exercises such as sit, down, heel, stay,
* How to properly approach a strange dog.
2. Behavior Modification
You will learn how to identify and solve behavior problems such as digging, jumping up, running away, chewing, house soling and much more. Including dog, dominance, fear induced and predatory aggression. We feel it is important that you are familiar with all types of behavior problems and solutions.
3. Advanced pet Obedience
* Introduction into off leash training: Learn how to maintain reliable control up close or at a distance.
* Breed characteristic: understudying breed characteristics will help your identify certain genetic and breed specific tendencies.
* Clicker Training: clicker training is widely used to shape desired behavior and how to use this operant conditioning tool effectively.
* How to read body language: Learn what the dog's posture and gestures are telling you, and what your gestures are telling him.
In General:
*Classes are 1 hour with training hand out sheets.
*Proof of rabies and other vaccinations are required for classes.
* Personal attention is provided for each classes member during the training session
* Although each class has an instructor, you are the dog's trainer. These classes are a way of teaching you how to read your dog’s body language. This eliminates sending the dog away for training and creates a very special bond between you and your dog.
* Our proven, positive reinforcement methods ensure that you and your dog also establish a lasting working partnership.
